the inside portion is in good shape, just a few small areas of light surface rust. the front of the gate has filled trim holes & the portion that would say cheverolet/gmc is cut out. my original plan for the gate was to "fill" the outside to be smooth all the way across & add a reverse handle kit. i decided to get a new gate & cut down on the amount of work i would do. your plan sounds interesting. i will check UPS for you & let ya know....
