700R4 Puking Oil
Just the other day, I noticed my truck had a drip of oil under it. I got under it to check it out and got a drop of ATF oil in my eye (it actually didn't hurt at all).
The oil was running from either the TV cable (where it goes into the transmission) or the dipstick tube. I changed the dipstick tube gasket and it didn't help. A closer examination showed that the oil was running out between the governor housing and the TV cable. I assume it is coming from the TV cable where it goes into the transmission. I checked the bolt and it is snug. What seals oil from coming out there? Why would it start leaking suddenly?
