To spare or not to spare!

I just started building my 1959 Apache after a few year hiatus. I had all the parts painted but the painter was fired and when he left the shop he took a few of my parts with him, never to be found again. This was a blow to my motivation and I put my project on hold. I have since replaced a few parts and refound my motivation to complete my build. I recently found two rear fenders in great condition but the driverside has the groove and bracket for the side spare tire. I wanted to shave the doors and remove all emblums from the side for a smooth look. WIll the side spare take away from that look. I am looking for some opinions on having the side spare or not. Pix would be nice as well.

Also if anyone in Los Angeles or surrounding areas has any 55-59 doors (these were also stolen by painter) with no cancer rust that would like to get rid of them please send me info.

Thanks everyone!
