Heater core replacement experience.

'85 GMC 3/4 4wd - Attempted a heater core swap for the first time. Took about 6 hours but it went well. I was concerned about the thru-firewall bolts accessibility. Room was a little tight under the A/C unit but not as bad as I anticipated. Found a couple of broken nylon fittings on the controls but couldn't find replacements online so I had to fab a couple of units.

Looked all over online for a copper heater core, finally found one at O'Reilly's for $28 surprisingly. Tried one from NAPA but it was all aluminum.

Next up: pulling the dash to replace the lamps and a new fuel gauge. New stereo unit should be delivered today. After that new seat skins, floor carpeting and seat belts. Maintenance catch-up time.
