Brownie Box in a C10?

So ive got a 292 with 3 sp and 3.08 gears in my 65 c10, looking for a way to get over drive. Been searching for a 3spd overdrive so I can get back my 3.73 gears, when I stumbled on the brownie boxes in the big trucks. Anyone put one in a half or 3/4 ton? Would it work? I think it would be pretty fricken awesome to have an auxillary tranny with a low and overdrive. What do you think?
