Re: Crash's 72 K10
Today I final got the axle and springs mounted to the frame. The truck had lift blocks on the rear axle. I believe they were home built out of 2” sq. tubing. They were rusting from the inside out, so I decided to install real lift bolts in their place.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() After that I installed the front Spring Bushings and bolted the springs to the frame and then the axle to the springs. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() [IMG]http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll2/mneese_photo/1972%20K10%20Project/PC200525.jpg() ![]() ![]() Feels good to have everything bolted back up.. Over $2000 invested in the frame; New ring and pinion, bearings, seals, ball joints, tie rods, paint, lift blocks, brakes, calipers, wheel cylinders, Hub, rotors, etc.. I started on the new brake lines. Hope to finish tomorrow. ![]() I have a line on a 5.3L and 4l60e. 2005 with 80K for $1500. This will include Radiator, Computer, wiring harness, Gas Pedal, Transmission Lines, all accessories, head pipes past the O2 sensors, etc.. Not sure if this is a good deal or not.. I guess I should look around a little more… |
