Ok, Now I'm Mad

I was going to go today and go pick up a 73 Chevy about 150 miles away from my house, my dad, my older brother and I. Let me fill you in on some info first, it has been rainging her for the last 2 days straight, all over Illinois, and in some places it is worse. Well, I called the guy with the truck Saturday night to confirm the deal, make sure everything was OK, and this was before it started raining. Everything was ready to go and it was ready for us to go meet the guy and pick it up. Well, we left my house at about 8 a.m. after wrestling the motorcycle while trying to load it up and get it secured, along with the other misc. things we had: spare tire, floor jack, some motorcycle parts, a ramp. Well, we get about halfway there, and I call him to make sure everything is good and hes ready for us. Well it turns out that he got about 8 inches of rain in the last day, and the road to get to the truck is under water, and there is no way we could get to it. To say the least I was really disappointed. We even wasted $50 to rent a towbar for the weekend that we didn't even use, but he said he would pay us back for that. But hopefully next weekend it will be dried out enough so we can get to it and we can get it then.

I've already waited 15 years for a truck, whats another week right?
