3/4 ton front springs

Hi everyone, new here and not really sure if Im doing this right but I have been a lurker for awhile now and finally got enough guts to ask a question
I have a 1972 chevy c10 that I am working on and have a question on the suspension. I really like the ride height of the truck but the rear is about two and a half inches higher than the front. I read somewhere that I can add 3/4 tonl springs to the front therefore raising the front about 2 inches and leveling out the truck....can this be done ? is there any other modifcations I need to do to it to make this work or is it as simple as a coil swap ? will this effect drivability if anyone is experienced with this or knows any info I would certainly apreciate it. thanks ahead of time
