HELP!!!! Torsion bar Removal

I have been working on my truck now for about 3 month now and making great progress but ran into a stand still on the torsion bars, I would like to remove them from the control arms but have not had any luck getting them to move at all, I assume they have never been off the truck due to the amout of grease and dirt that was welded on them.
I would like to know if anyone has removed them before, and if so do I need to press them out or should they come out just with brute force
Im hoping someone will be able to help on this becouse I will be sending the parts out to be powdercoated next week and I would like to have it apart by then!!!!!
Thanks for all you help guys and gals!!!!
