Shaving Kick Panels?
I used the search and it looks like no real reason to not fill the kick panel vents. Factory AC cab that I'll be putting a vintage Air sure fit kit into soon. Working on interior welding this week and figured I'd seal those up while I am in there.
In my reading it looks the only real reason not to do it is A. Fresh air (which I am not worried about), B. trash in the bottom of the panel to rot. I figure I can fix this in two easy steps, put a window in the bottom of the panel on the outside of the cab so that it just dumps onto the fender and blows away, and putting a screen over the cowl area to keep trash out to begin with. Am I missing something, or is it that easy? Seems nice to clean up the area and give some extra room for speaker mounting.
