Cutting is what the OP didn't wanna do but yeah with 24"s you'll have to cut something! Nothing wrong with that in my book.
I think the t-bird/cougar or 'vette route is the way to do IRS in any fullsize especially a 'burb. Maybe I'm wrong altogether and you'll be fine with this IRS and an blown LS motor to boot. But consider resale when you start listing your build and a prospective buyer hears "mazda rearend" Just saying...
