Somedays it just doesn't pay...
Like the old saying goes, if it weren't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all. I was all proud of myself today. I went by the GM dealer, and scoree lots of OEM goodies for the 77.
I got an overflow tank, 6 plug wire looms, and window belt line trim for both doors. They didn't have the exterior trim pieces I need, but LMC stocks those (yes Mike, I know). I played under the hood for a few hours, cleaning and re-routing wires. I got bored with that, and decided to replace the window belt line trim. This is the trim that goes on top of the door panel, and on the top of the door. I managed to get the old trim off the door with only one small scratch. Not good, but I can touch it up. Everything was going great, until I tried to put the drivers side door panel back on. It would be easy to blame it on my wife because she was in the garage at the time, but I can't. It was my dumb butt that dropped the door panel. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw something fly off. It was the corner of the freakin door panel. I just set it down and walked away for a looooong time. I am so p!ssed I can't see straight. Here's the results of my stupidity...
