TinyCAD: My Electrical Schematics
Sorry I've been gone for a while but as you're about to see, I've been busy...
In an effort to find out where to drill all of the holes in the truck for my wiring before I paint it, I got carried away and made a complete set of schematics for the beast. This adventure began with a hand-drawn picture, but then I started looking for a free drawing package. That's when I found TinyCAD. TinyCAD is a completely free Open Source electrical drawing package, complete with an extensive symbol table. You can download it here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/tinycad/ This program is NOT a come-on to buy the real program. It IS the real program. I used it for about 20 hours without a crash or glitch. Here are the schematics I generated (13 sheets). I did them by location on the truck so I could see where the wires go (i.e., as they run off the page). I also know that someday I'll have to fix an electrical problem and these just might come in handy. Note also that, unlike most auto schematics, the signals tend to come into the page from the left and go out to the right. Hope this helps somebody.
