Re: Legacy build

It hit 95* outside, and my .060 over motor was not cohabitating well with the electric fans. 225* on the motor, and 250* on the trans. It was time for drastic measures fast! I need a cooling system that will operate well at 115* outside temps.

First, I ordered some goodies from Summit! Aluminum high flow water pump, High flow thermostats, 19" 6 blade fan, thermostatic fan clutch, and an aluminum DIY fan shroud.

Second, I moved the trans cooler from the radiator to 2 plate style coolers. Made some brackets to mount them in front of the radiator.

Third, installed the summit goodies. I had my friend Jack tig up the shroud, it came out good.

Result, 180-185 motor temps ( 180 stat), and 150* +/ - trans temps. Time will tell if it can handle 115*, or not. B&M oil cooler on the way!!!
