OK a little back ground.
My truck has a aftermarket compressor and condensor for 134-RA. I have a 20" electric fan out of the junk yard wired to the AC switch ran through a relay. I also have a manual water valve in the heater line to stop all hot water flow to inside the cab during the summer. I blocked off the cowl vent Under the passenger side and left the passenger side vent inside the cab open when running the AC. It's a manual operated one I never installed the vacume one. This keeps the air inside the truck colder and recirculates it. I put a shot of this in the truck the other night. Here is the outside temp. per the truck outside temp probe. Here is the inside temp 41 degree's sitting still in the garage. Sorry the flash wipped out the scale. It's sitting on 41. I have owned this truck since 1986 and it has never been this cold since I installed the AC a few years after buying the truck. Before this last mod I had to keep the fan speed on high are I would start sweating. Now when I drive it it drops to about 38 -36. This is all on med fan setting and I have been turning it off before I reach work which is a 15 mile ride in the afternoon. Just wondering what everyone elses does on hot days. I really enjoy driving it to work.

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |
