I used a truck 12 bolt out of an early chevy truck. If you are sticking with the stock ride height it works great. It would be a little wide if you lowered the truck a bunch. The Caprice axle sounds like it would be a little wide, probably around 64 inches at the wheel mounting surface. 70's nova rears fit perfect if your are going low.
