Question Short / Long brake shoe Q

Research says that in *most* cases, the primary (short) shoe goes to the front, and the secondary (long) shoe goes to the rear.

Is there any reason my K20 (with GM Corporate HO52 and 2.75" shoes) would be different?

I'm asking because my truck has the long shoe on the front, short shoe on the rear. Last person to work on the brakes was a local mechanic who's no longer in the area. I now have time to do it myself.

Just want to be sure I get the new shoes on correctly. My Clymer manual is no help....
