Bucket seat install?

Before I do some drilling and mounting I have a quick question.

When determining where the slide rails should be located to mount the seat to the floorboard, should the rail be pushed all the way to the back, all the way to the front or somewhere in between?

I do find that the 05 Tahoe seats I bought will hit the back window before they hit the gas tank.

Any suggestions on the best, easiest way to get these located in the right spot?

oh yeah, one more question......

What are you guys using for arm rests?
