Power window conversion, quick question on the wires
Have a quick question
I just installed power window and locks doors on my 74 everything went well Black wire got grounded Orange wire w/ black stripe went to the battery with a 10 gauge wire and a 30 amp fuse Pink wire got connected to my glass fuse panel Now heres the question Turned to key to on rolled down the window it rolled down half way and stopped checked all the connections made sure they were still connected ran a test light, light turned on everything was good but i found the culprit my pink wire that i connected to my glass fuse panel wasnt getting any power when i switched the key to on put the test light there and it aint getting anymore power i dont know if i burnt the prong out or what that was my last accessory prong left lol my question now is how can i make this work now I know i have these two options right? I could have the pink wire connected to the orange wire and it always be hot right? Or I could run the pink wire to a switch and then to the orange wire(hot) so that way i can turn it off and it wont be hot all the time, but more off a pain to do |
