Picked Up A Few Small Truck Parts Today
-
Took a break today and made a trip to a salvage yard about 30 miles from me. All I went to get was the Dodge Dakota door weather stripping for my project (first picture) and I didn't expect to see any '67 - '72 chevy trucks, so I didn't take many tools with me... And no camera. (Man rule #1. Any time you go to a salvage yard take all the tools you can get in the truck, and a camera) Anyways, I did get a few small things. Some of them were laying loose inside the trucks, some I had to remove. There are a few things there that can be kind of hard to find so I felt pretty lucky. I have keys made for all of the door lock sets already, so I can go back and get all of the ignition lock cylinders. One set of door locks are out of a '67 so it has the small ignition bezel and spacer in it. I will take the camera when I go back... A good day! LockDoc
