Share what you do before first drive!

My truck has been 95% finished for several months, I'm just lacking motivation. All I have left to do is bleed the brakes and check why the lights aren't working with the new harness. I'm also having a problem with the brake pedal not returning, it just stays depressed. (need a stronger return spring?) I think I keep putting it off because I'm honestly pretty nervous on the first drive. I'm especially nervous the transmission TV cable may not be adjusted right.

Anyways, what do you all do before you take a long time project on the road for the first time?? I'm going to focus tomorrow and Labor Day on getting this truck finished.
