New member with a wheel hub issue
Hello all, this place is amazing, full of great builds and very talented builders.
I am just getting started in this process, with a 1970 CST 10 4x2 LWB, and I have already gotten a ton of help just reading through everyone's build threads. Here's my question. The PO of my truck ran the front driver side wheel with just 5 of 6 lug studs for however long and the wheel hub and brake drum were basically fused. When I was installing the new stud, I found the reason there was no stud in it. The hole was way rounded out, to the point the new stud just slips in and out. Is there a repair method for this? Or are there replacements available? I have called all the local parts stores. The local salvage hard doesn't have anything older than 85, and I haven't had much luck finding one online. Where should I look? Thanks in advance! Posted via Mobile Device Last edited by flushdrew; 10-23-2012 at 08:45 PM. |
