90 suburban donor for my 67?

Okay guys. I have a 67 lwb I'm working on. I have plans for a nice swb street truck by the time it's done. The truck is only a full body and a frame. The rest was stripped out before purchase. So as you can tell I need a lot of parts. I'm thinking of buying a 90ish model suburban and using it as a donor. They are cheap and I need the brakes and motor and a few other things. Will I run into problems making it a carb motor or keeping it tbi? If I kept the tbi would I be able to make a little power? This is gonna be a driver, not a weekend show piece. A suburban gonna be the cheapest/ most reliable route? Any advise would be appreciated.
