68-71 BBC Mounts

I have a question regarding what is needed to run these mounts. I got my 67 shortstep with a pair of the BBC towers. I was planning on putting a LS1 in so I grabbed a set of the POL towers a few years ago. I now have a 555 BBC in the truck and I have issue with the #1 primary hitting the mount and I would like to see if the BBC towers I have would remedy this problem.

My question is what all is needed to run the towers/mounts. According to LMC it looks like there is the piece that bolts to the block, a rubber block with a steel insert and then a trough bolt with a large washer. It all costs around $80.

My second question is when I look up other mounts supposedly for a BBC they are only $15 and look like SBC mounts with no pad. What exactly do I need? I saw a post in the FAQ where supposedly you can run SBC mounts without issue from Tx Firefighter. Do I simply grab a Grade 8 bolt and fender washer that will screw into a SBC mount?
