Mexican Blanket Dash Pad Re-do
living in south texas, I love mexican stuff and I especially have always loved mexican blankets.
After reading on this forum about the challenge it was to remove a dashpad, I went for it. laying upside down on the bench seat with my head on the floor and trying to unhook the gauge cluster was definitely a chore, but it was all worth it. It had already been re-covered with white (ish) vinyl which I tore off. I cut the blanket to size, stapled as much as I could and hot glued the rest. popped it back in the dash and boom! taco time! I don't have any during pictures, I figured it was something everyone had seen before. I just put a cheap grant steering wheel on for the time being until I upgrade, but I am happy with this look. will be doing a mexican blanket bench seat also in the near future. thanks for looking! -Alex |
