Wheel Fit (Center Hole issues)
Recently got some newer chevy 16 inch 6 lug wheels. A pic is attacehd for reference. Bolt pattern is perfect. Offset is about 5 inches on the rear of the rim. Plenty of room in the outside lip of the rim. The currenty wheels on the truck are 4 1/4 or 4 1/2 rear offset on the rims.
Problem is the center hole is only 3 inches. It looks as if I need a 3 1/2 inch center hole to fit over the bearing hub in the front and flange on the rear. I dont want to enlarge the center hole, worry of weakening the rim. Has anyone run up against this? Possible solutions? Wheel spacers or adapters? Also this is for her 61 apache. Thanks, Glenn |
