Powerglide vs 3 speed
I currently have a 3 speed Saginaw in my 66 C10. I am pulling the engine for a rebuild and was considering converting it to an automatic. I found a rebuilt 65 Powerglide with a genie shifter with 1400 miles on it for $600.00. The 3 speed doesnt bother me and shifts flawlessly, just looking at my options as I do the tear down. Would the powerglide help me on the top end? I top out at 55-60mph?
