Exhaust ideas?
Speaking of exhaust~ when I got to the point of needing exhaust on my 67 Mustang, I called a wrecker and had it delivered to the local exhaust shop and 500 bucks later (plus shipping and handling!), I had my exhaust. To be honest, I thought it was kind of pricey, but it looks and sounds good.
On my truck, I'd like to be able to install the exhaust vs a shop if possible. It could be simple, dual exhaust, maybe exiting in front of the rear wheels? The hugger headers are 2" where the new pipe would be connected to it, kind of small now that I think about it. I was going to take the bolt on part and have the first parts bent and then clock the pipe, then tack weld them into place for starting the engine purposes. However, the pipe angle where it bolts onto the flange of the header puts the exiting exhaust at an angle, not straight down! kind of irritating~ are there kits available or is that way a pita? Which leads me to ask, should I just have it towed again and have the exhaust made? Ideas welcomed of course~ ; ) I cannot find a decent pic of my header! You can see how the header "collector" points inward a tad.
