Dual tank VS Single tank "Production tank"
I have an interesting question. It may have no answer now...
I've had 1973, 74, 75, 78, 79, 85, & CUCV (M1008) trucks configured with a single tank. The tank was on the LH side on all of the trucks. I don't recall ever seeing a single tank square with a RH filler. When I look at the wiring diagrams for Dual tank setups 73-80 "Production" is the LH and AUX is RH. In the 1981+ wiring diagrams the "Production" tank is on the RH side. My 85 and CUCV single tank trucks had/have the tank on the LH side. I thought "Production" meant the tank that would be installed if the truck didn't have dual tanks.
