Tie rod fitment

I have a 1972 gmc. I took it apart 5 years ago and threw out the old front end parts. The inner tie rods are too big for the cross shaft and do not go through far enough to tighten down the castle but and get the coder pin through. I ordered them from cpp and they are the right ones. I got some from napa to make sure it wasn't the wrong ends.
