Coil Springs
I just got the upper and lower ball joints replaced on the 67 C10, and before I put the spindles back on I figured I should replace the 46 year old coil springs (shocks too).
I thinking about getting Moog # 6082 (Constant Rate Springs) for the front and Moog # CC603 (Variable Rate Springs) for the rear. The links are for RockAuto info pages. The description of the rear springs says: "cargo-coil, variable-rate springs as an upgrade for vehicles that carry heavy loads." and "The cargo-coil, variable-rate springs change resistance as they compress and become progressively stiffer as the load increases." Anybody used either of these? I like the idea of the cargo coil springs - the truck is a daily driver that has (and will) routinely be loaded with 1000lbs of feed. Any thoughts would be appreciated. |
