Glue-ing vs Stock Rubber for Windshield
We've had a lot of rain this past week. I know my truck has a leak in the windshield somewhere. I think I found it this past weekend. It appears to be leaking around the rubber seal around the windshield. I'm sure when I pop the shield I'll find rust and such. AFAIK, it's stock. Looks like someone in the past tried some silicone to seal a leak.
So, my Q is, when I go to replace the glass, is it advisable to use the more modern process of glueing the shield in place or use the stock style rubber? This is a rat-rod-ish truck so I'm looking for function vs. OEM look. This truck will spend more time outside than in a garage (due to space) so it has to withstand water.
