so that was the clunk..
i had my th400 rebuilt last week. standard rebuild nothing fancy.
I had to get a new tranny mount because the old one was shot according to the rebuilder. I got a poly one from autozone because i couldnt find a stock style at any parts stores locally. I finally got the tranny put in. I moved the selector to reverse and i couldnt tell if it was in gear. Moved to D and same thing. Gave it gas and it pulled against the parking brake so I'm in gear. hmm something doesnt feel right. It doesnt go clunk when i move through the gears. I guess a broken tranny mount will do that? Or is there something inside the tranny that was repaired that would have caused that. I had already replaced the driveshaft and ujoints and still had the clunk. |
