Switching out a 305 for a 350

Now, this has been talked about in bits and pieces as I found in the archive, but for a novice weekend mechanic it's not exactly clear. So let's say I want to switch out a 305 for a 350 with minimal cost, nothing fancy. Can you keep everything from the 305 but the main rebuilt engine parts? Apparently the engine block is the same, but what else? I imagine you have to get a new intake manifold and carb? pulley's, fuel pump, fly wheel, tranny, power steering pump mounts are all going to go back on the same? I'd love to switch to a 350, but if everything ain't going back the way I took it off then I'm going to get in over my head and get some crazy-ass head-aches
thanks for any input,
Kenneth
