seat cover installation

had a question.. got an 86 suburban, bucket seats, and the seat bottom on one side is torn up. I am thinking of getting covers for both seats, but they are the seats that have folding arm rests on both sides. I was wondering what the best approach would be. Do they make covers specifically for these seats, or do you have to take the armrests off, put the covers on, then reattach the armrests, or ..??? Or can you buy just a cover for the seat bottoms that would look halfway decent with the factory seat backs??
