Long time no post - Back with a new truck

Just logged back on, it says I havn't logged on since 2005. Been a while!

Back then I had a 72 C10, which I've since sold. I've gone through a few trucks, graduated college, bought a house, etc.

I picked this truck up last week to replace my rusted-out 1985 C10. It's a 1985 K20 Silverado. Had a 350 with a 700r4. Non-floating 14 bolt. Has NO brakes, which I'm working on now. Going to go-over it and use it as a tow rig for my other projects.

After the brakes get fixed, I need to get those crappy dry-rotted 33'' tires and rusty wagon wheels off it. I'm trying to find a decent set of used 8 lugs. Would love slots, but they are pretty pricey. Also needs shocks, and some other odds and ends.

Long-term plans is an SM465 4-spd swap, new exhaust, and a paint job.
