Gas tank problems

So i have a 72 jimmy that i have got on the road lately and noticed a few problems lately:

1st: while filling the tank i noticed gas is dripping on the ground. I am assuming that the filler neck has a leak but from where???

2nd: My gauge is not reading the amount that is in the tank. at first the gauge was reading as grounded, but i cleared that but now the gauge reads empty.

For both of these what do i look for and/or what do i replace if need be. ANY HELP PLEASE
