Not trying to argue, just expressing why I don't get it:
How is it not wasteful just because you have a lot of something? (...and I actually don't agree...there are fewer and fewer of them all the time. They haven't been made in 50+ years.) Because there's water coming out of your faucet any time you open it, do you leave it running all day? Of course not. So you think most people watch NASCAR, motocross...an extreme sport hoping(?) for an accident? Kinda morbid isn't that? But even if that's true, intentionally running an engine without coolant or oil isn't "anticipating failure". You're absolutely CERTAIN it's going to happen. You KNOW it's going to be destroyed and guys are all horny for it? Again, I don't get it. I think it's terribly immature. Personally I'd be embarrassed of myself.
