Buckets to Bench Seat

I know this sounds strange. I'm interested in purchasing a 79 GMC Sierra with factory bucket seats and console and I'd like to put a bench seat in place of the buckets and console. Does anyone know if a bench seat from a similar year (73-?) will bolt right in? I don't mind having the extra holes from the factory in the floor, I just don't want to add any new holes.

The current owner told me that the truck already has a middle seat belt installed from the factory. This seemed a little strange to me, but perhaps that is the case. Any knowledge on this would be helpful as well.

Thanks
