I have a 1969 Chevy C-10 with a 12 bolt rear end with 3.73 gears in it. I am wanting to change the gearing to a 3.08 but I understand that I would need to change the carrier to make the 3.08 gears work. Can anybody tell me what vehicles would have the correct carrier that would fit in my rear end to allow the 3.08 gears to work. Would a mid 70 truck have the correct carrier in the rear end? Does anybody have a carrier they would sell for my needs?
