65 to 63 column swap?

I checked the FAQ's , did a search and there really isn't a "steering" section in the generals, so I'm tossing this question here for some help. I have a shaved column from my 65 for sale in the classifieds. I have an interest in the column from an owner of a 63 asking if it will swap in. I haven't owned or parted out enough of these to be familiar with them enough to know for sure if its a bolt in swap. I believe the o.d. of the shaft is the same and will slide on, but are the lower slots under the covers in the same spot to bolt it to the under dash plate? The 74 van tilt I swapped in was almost a bolt in (had to cut the lower) and am sure the 65 back to the 63 should be a simple swap. Any thought?
