Make it Stop- Brake Tech

We have the hugely popular "Make it Handle" thread for suspension ideas; let's start one for brake upgrades. There are stock-type disc conversion threads already, but none that I could find that had detailed info on upgraded brakes.

Info on what spindles have separate caliper brackets, what type of calipers would work well, master cylinder sizing, rear axle flange patterns for rear caliper brackets, etc. could be very helpful to someone wanting more than just the original style disc brake conversion kits.

Front-to-rear brake balance vs weight distribution would be a good discussion topic since our trucks are more nose heavy than the usual pro-touring muscle cars.

The weight of different calipers and rotors would be useful for someone trying to cut back unsprung weight.

Throw some questions/discussion ideas out to get the ball rolling!
