Srandard trans linkage

I'm doing a auto to std transmission conversion, I was given the clutch petal & linkage out of a 65 with a Saginaw 3 spd, I have a 71, does any body know if this will make up to my Saginaw 3 spd?
There is a piece that is under the hood that bolts up between the frame and the bell housing, maybe; that piece was already off the truck, I would post a pic of the piece but I can't get them to upload to the forum.
any help would be appreciated.
