Seems any "barn fresh" ride gets it's share of looks nowadays. Personally, I've seen enough mild customs and restored cars that only the super innovative or totally correct ones grab me. There is one thing though that separates a nice barn find from just another pile, and that is the "unmolested" factor. If at a glance I see a repaint inside or out, wrong wheels, wrong seat, chromed cowl extensions, etc., I just keep walking.
I say put the factory wheels and caps back on your truck, and you have a chance.
