suggestions for suspension set up

ive had a question that has been nagging in the back of my mind.
my build up (signature) is going to be more performance oriented than anything else. i want it to corner and handle nicely, but i also am planning some strip time. ride isn't that important to me, and im not really going to use the bed(duffle bags, groceries etc.) my thoughts were along the lines of a 4/6 drop with high quiality adjustable shocks, and good swaybars. i would use one set of rear tires, for corner carving, and then when i hit the drag strip, I have some slicks mounted on some other rims.

so basically what i am looking for is ideas... recomendations... and personal expiriences with all sorts of suspension set ups.
