Heater Control

I'm trying to figure out my 62 C10 heater controls for thrift heater. I only have two levers on the control. One for the fan switch, and one that pulls the cable to the heat/defrost flip door.

Doesn't there have to be a third lever for the valve to shut off the coolant circulation?

The control doesn't look like it has been hacked up, but there are only two levers.

Thanks
