Time for a new fuel tank?

I've got a fuel tank that has been sitting with gas in it for some time and has a lot of gunk built up to the line where gas was sitting. It doesn't "appear" to be leaking but after cleaning who knows.

Should I even attempt to clean it or just plan on getting a new tank?

Here's a picture of the inside of the tank.

Thanks, Travis.
