OK, I went and talked to my tranny guy today about this 700r4, the 1st thing he told me was to go talk to the guy that built it, ( I am going to do this ) he knows the guy that built it and said he is damn good! Now this is what he said about the 700r4, they are a pile of sh!t, yes they can be built to stand up behind a lot of HP, but are very costly to build one for that, ( around here anyways) he told me that if he was in my shoes, that he would go with a 3:23 or 3:55 gear in the rear, then build the th350 with a set of lower 1st and 2nd gears, and that it would come out the gate as if it had a 4:56 that is if going with 3:23 rear gear, or it would come out the gate like it had a 4:88 gear if going with the 3:55, then when it goes into 3rd, it would be 1 to 1 with either 3:23 or 3:55 depending on what I go with, he said that the th350 will with stand a whole lot more abuse then the 700r4, and that it take a lot more money and know how to build the 700r4. so with this said, I am going to go over and talk to the guy that built this 700r4 and see what he thinks, I know I need to get my decision made soon, cause my tranny is out! I will keep you guys posted with more details later!
