I got the patches welded in today. You can see where there was a little bit of burn through on the top of the left patch and the right side of the right patch where I have also marked to cut out. The metal was still a little thin so I'll cut a couple more small patches to get to good metal. I also rust encapsulated the inner piece on the steering shaft opening after wire wheeling it and before welding in the patch. I also took a shot of the serpentine set up as it stands now. I'm heading to the swap meet in the morning with rain gear in tow.
