I'm a straight axle guy, but you're not going to catch me going 100MPH, unless it's in a straight line.

Brakes and suspension are the AD trucks downfall. They were meant for hauling hay on a dirt road at 35MPH.

An upgrade to discs is almost mandatory.

If you stick with front leafs, do yourself a favor and do the C10 power steering upgrade. The biggest reason is because your oem steering column and gear box are bolted to your frame. A wreck at 100MPH and the stock steering column/steering wheel will spear you. They'll be sucking up your gray matter with a shop vac to give to your mom.

For power I recommend this.

Stock horsepower from 260-290. With a tune and uncorked exhaust, expect well over 300.

You can buy a running engine with harness from a salvage yard for $1000.
